Black Locust wood is a naturally rot resistant wood that is replacing treated lumber, and tropical hardwoods in a wide variety of outdoor wood applications. It is not uncommon for untreated Black Locust wood to last well over 50+ years without any significant decay. This makes it the perfect alternative to chemically treated lumber, endangered tropical woods, and decay prone woods
