Lacewood Lumber 
Lacewood (Cardwellia sublimis)
 Lacewood-Has a very conspicuous flecking that gives this wood its namesake. The wood itself is a reddish brown with darker brown “lace” patterning. Like other woods that exhibit the strongest figure in quartersawn pieces, (such as Sycamore), Lacewood has the most pronounced figure and  displays the largest flecks when perfectly quartersawn; this is due to the wood’s large medullary rays which run perpendicular to the growth rings, (whose  layout can be seen the clearest when looking at the endgrain).

4/4 and 8/4 lumber  4'' and wider and 6 feet and longer...we hand select this species for the "fleck" appearence  we try and stay away from the plain sawn stock as we only want to have the figured " Flecky" dramatic boards for our customers
