We are a family owned and operated lumber yard and mill, specializing in exotic woods from around the world and rare domestics.
Global Wood Source personally acquires and inspects each log and piece of timber obtained from the forests and jungles around the world. We ship directly to our international customers as well as to our warehouse in Campbell, CA where we have a retail store. Our exotic woods have been featured in many online publications and televisions shows. Our efforts to obtain woods from sustainable sources cannot be matched.
In our travels globally we come across almost every type of wood imaginable and some adventures you may not be able to imagine.
The exotic wood we bring back for our clients includes all types of exotic Lumber, Flooring, Turning Blocks, Natural Edged Slabs, Luthier Stock for instrument makers and special orders to any specification.
Hi I'm Russ! This is my 41st year in the lumber business.
My son Eric has been with me full time 12 years now (and has been working alongside me basically since he could walk) Eric handles most all of the business side of things now as I am getting close to retirement age, although I’ll never completely call it quits as I love what my son and I have built here at Global Wood Source.
Russ handles most of the purchasing with Eric’s help in all the jungles of the world from Indonesia to Africa, Mexico to Burma, South America to North America. Our global connections are proven tried & true, in providing our customers on a regular basis what few are used to seeing in a lifetime of woodworking.
We at Global Wood Source not only enjoy our work, but we take great pride in the knowledge that our clients receive the best care from our staff. Finding the right piece of lumber for your special project is our goal.
